1. Agreement to These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Wolf Real Estate Group Inc ("Aspect Ratio Calculator," "we," "us," or "our") and govern your use of the Aspect Ratio Calculator Mac app, website, support channels, and related services.
By downloading, accessing, or using Aspect Ratio Calculator, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.
For the Mac app, these Terms supplement the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's standard licensed application terms that apply to apps distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple handles Mac App Store transactions, payment methods, taxes, refunds, and certain licensing mechanics.
2. What the App Does
Aspect Ratio Calculator is a native Mac utility for calculating image dimensions, inspecting images, resizing images, resizing canvas/frame dimensions, copying developer-friendly outputs, sharing rendered output through macOS, and exporting clean image assets.
The app's core workflow is:
Original Size -> New Size -> Preview -> Copy / ExportThe app is a precision sizing utility. It is not a full image editor and is not a replacement for professional design, photo-editing, retouching, illustration, or layout software.
3. Eligibility
You may use the app and website only if you can legally enter into these Terms and comply with all applicable laws. If you use the app or website on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Aspect Ratio Calculator for personal or business purposes on Apple-branded hardware you own or control, as permitted by the Mac App Store rules and Apple terms.
You may not:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law,
- rent, lease, sublicense, sell, or redistribute the app,
- bypass purchase, entitlement, feature-gating, or security systems,
- use the app or website for unlawful, abusive, infringing, or harmful purposes,
- interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the app, website, or related services.
5. Your Images and Content
You keep ownership of the images, files, dimensions, copy templates, and other content you use with the app.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights needed to process, resize, export, share, or use any image or content you bring into the app.
The app does not give you ownership of third-party images, fonts, designs, trademarks, or other materials you do not already have the right to use.
6. Local Processing and File Output
The app is designed to process selected images and output settings on your Mac. You are responsible for reviewing exported files, shared output, dimensions, quality settings, format choices, and downstream use.
We do not guarantee that a file exported from the app will be accepted by every website, marketplace, social network, printer, MLS system, advertising platform, app store, CMS, or other third-party service. Those services may have their own file, size, color, compression, metadata, content, and upload requirements.
7. macOS, Format, and Feature Availability
Aspect Ratio Calculator supports the macOS versions stated in the Mac App Store listing and product materials.
Some features may depend on your Mac, macOS version, Apple frameworks, system encoders, permissions, file type, selected image, and App Store entitlement status.
For example, HEIC export may be available while HEIF availability depends on the macOS encoder. Native sharing depends on macOS share sheet behavior and the share destinations available on your Mac.
We may add, change, suspend, or remove features as the app evolves, subject to applicable law and Mac App Store rules.
8. Free Features and Pro Features
Aspect Ratio Calculator may be free to download with a useful core utility. Free features may include the basic ratio calculator, image inspection, built-in copy outputs, Copy Output Size, and basic export visibility.
Pro features may include saved custom ratios, custom copy templates, advanced unit conversions, configurable metadata chips, iCloud settings sync, and advanced resize/canvas/export workflows.
Free users may see previews or explanations of Pro-only controls in context. Pro-only persistence or actions require an active Pro entitlement.
9. Purchases, Family Sharing, Legacy Users, and Support Development
Purchases are handled through Apple's Mac App Store and StoreKit.
Available purchase types may include:
- Individual Pro Lifetime - unlocks Pro for one Apple Account. Family Sharing is not enabled for this product.
- Family Pro Lifetime - unlocks Pro with Mac App Store Family Sharing support where Apple and App Store configuration allow it.
- Family Add-On - allows eligible Individual Pro or legacy paid-app users who are not already family-capable to add Family Sharing support.
- Support Development - optional, repeatable support purchases for Pro users. These are thank-you/support purchases only and do not unlock or gate app features.
Legacy paid-app customers may be grandfathered into Pro when valid Mac App Store purchase evidence is available through Apple StoreKit/AppTransaction mechanisms.
Do not purchase Support Development items expecting them to unlock Pro. They do not unlock Pro features.
10. Payment, Taxes, and Refunds
Apple processes Mac App Store payments, taxes, purchase records, refunds, and payment methods. We do not control Apple's refund decisions or payment processing systems.
Refund requests for Mac App Store purchases must be submitted through Apple, unless Apple directs otherwise. If Apple refunds, revokes, reverses, or cancels a purchase, your related entitlement may be removed or changed.
11. iCloud Sync
If Pro iCloud settings sync is available and enabled, selected settings may sync through Apple's iCloud infrastructure using your Apple Account. iCloud availability and behavior are controlled by Apple and may depend on your device settings, account status, iCloud availability, network access, and Apple terms.
We are not responsible for iCloud outages, Apple Account issues, sync delays, conflicts, device limits, or settings not syncing due to Apple-controlled conditions.
12. Website and Contact Form
The website may include product information, App Store links, Open Graph images, and a contact form. You agree not to submit spam, malicious content, unlawful content, misleading information, or content that infringes another person's rights.
We may use anti-abuse, security, logging, and email-delivery providers to operate the website and contact form.
13. Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, feature requests, bug reports, or ideas, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to you. You should not send confidential information through ordinary feedback or contact channels.
14. Intellectual Property
Aspect Ratio Calculator, the website, app name, logos, interface elements, product copy, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Apple, macOS, Mac App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, and related names are trademarks or service marks of Apple Inc. Other names may be trademarks of their respective owners.
15. Third-Party Services
The app and website may rely on or link to third-party services, including Apple, iCloud, the Mac App Store, Cloudflare, and Twilio SendGrid. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, terms, privacy policies, availability, or conduct.
16. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Aspect Ratio Calculator and the website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We do not warrant that the app or website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every workflow, or suitable for every professional, commercial, print, legal, real estate, advertising, marketplace, or publishing requirement.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some disclaimers may not apply to you.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, replacement services, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to your use of the app or website.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app, website, or these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid us for the app or in-app purchase giving rise to the claim during the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
18. Indemnity
To the maximum extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the app or website, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of another person's rights through content you process, export, share, or submit.
19. Termination
You may stop using the app and website at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access to the website, support channels, or related services if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security risk, or if required by law. App entitlements may also change if Apple refunds, revokes, reverses, or cancels a purchase.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and dispute provisions.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app or website after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
Material changes should be reflected on this page before or when they become effective.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
If you are a consumer outside the United States, you may have mandatory rights under the laws of your country or region that these Terms do not limit.
