Overview
ARC: Aspect Ratio & Resize is a native Mac utility for calculating image dimensions, preserving aspect ratios, resizing images and canvas frames, copying useful developer/designer values, sharing rendered output through macOS, and exporting correctly sized image assets.
The Mac app is designed to be local-first. You can use the core app without creating an account, and the images you choose, drag in, resize, place in a canvas, export, or share are processed on your Mac. The app does not upload your images to us.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your app activity or image content for advertising. We do not use the app to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who We Are
For this policy, "ARC: Aspect Ratio & Resize," "we," "us," and "our" mean Wolf Real Estate Group Inc, the developer/operator of ARC: Aspect Ratio & Resize.

Information the Mac App Processes
Image and dimension information
When you open, drag in, inspect, resize, place, export, or share an image, the app may process information such as:
- the image file you select,
- file name and file type,
- image width and height,
- aspect ratio and decimal ratio,
- pixel count and megapixels,
- output width and height,
- selected export format and quality settings,
- canvas placement, anchor, crop, and shrink-to-fit settings.
This information is used to provide the app's core functionality: ratio calculation, image inspection, resize preview, canvas placement, copying output values, exporting files, and sharing the rendered result through macOS.
The app processes this information locally on your Mac. We do not receive your image files or image metadata on our own servers from the app.
App settings and preferences
The app may store settings on your Mac, including:
- app presentation mode,
- saved custom ratios,
- selected built-in or custom copy formats,
- unit conversion assumptions,
- metadata chip preferences,
- canvas fit behavior,
- export format preferences,
- purchase/entitlement state needed to unlock Pro features.
These settings are used to remember your preferences and provide the features you choose.
iCloud settings sync
If you use Pro features that sync settings through iCloud, selected app settings may be synced through Apple's iCloud key-value storage for your Apple Account. Synced settings may include app mode, custom ratios, copy formats, unit settings, metadata chip choices, canvas fit behavior, and export format.
We do not operate iCloud. iCloud syncing is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy and iCloud terms. We do not receive your iCloud-synced app settings on our own servers.
Email updates and optional product analytics
The app may offer optional settings for email updates and optional product analytics. These choices are off by default and are not required to use the app or paid features.
If you choose email updates, the app may send us your name, email address, consent version, app version, locale, platform, and a snapshot of your ARC license bucket so we can send occasional ARC updates, tips, and release notes.
If you choose product analytics, the app may send a random ARC install identifier, app version, macOS major version, locale, license bucket, consent version, and allowlisted product-usage events such as ratio pack use, built-in preset use, export mode, frame behavior, output format, batch-size bucket, warning category, paywall surface, free-export allowance bucket, or coarse duration/failure buckets.
If you separately choose personalized updates, we may link your email-update profile with your product analytics and license segment so ARC update emails can be more relevant. You can leave personalized updates off and still choose email updates or non-personalized product analytics.
We do not collect or send your image files, image pixels, image-derived hashes, image names, local file paths, source or destination folders, user-authored filename/template text, Apple transaction identifiers, Apple Account identifiers, or hardware fingerprints through ARC product analytics.
Sharing through macOS
If you use the app's Share action, the app renders the current output and opens the native macOS share sheet. The destination you choose in the share sheet may receive the rendered image or output you choose to share. That sharing destination is controlled by Apple or the selected third-party app or service, not by us.
Purchases and Entitlements
ARC: Aspect Ratio & Resize may offer Mac App Store in-app purchases and subscriptions, including ARC Pro Access, Mac Lifetime, legacy compatibility purchases, and optional Support Development purchases for eligible legacy users.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card number or Apple Account password.
The app may check purchase receipts, App Store transaction information, or entitlement status to unlock features, restore purchases, honor legacy paid-app purchases, or display purchase-related status in the app.
Refunds, billing, taxes, Family Sharing, and payment methods are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and policies.

Data Retention
App settings stored on your Mac remain until you change them, delete them, reset the app, remove the app, or clear related local/iCloud data through Apple-provided controls.
Opt-in app email/profile records, consent records, license snapshots, unsubscribe events, deletion requests, and product analytics are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. We prefer aggregated or daily-rollup product analytics where possible.
Website contact requests, support emails, and contact audit records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide support, maintain security, keep business records, and comply with legal obligations. As a working default, contact and support records should be deleted or anonymized within 24 months unless a longer period is needed for a legitimate reason, such as an unresolved support issue, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Security logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for site operation, abuse prevention, debugging, and security review. Provider logs may be retained according to the relevant provider's policies.
